ACDT was formed in 2019. This happened after significant community consultations within the town via the Our Place Programme and the 3 Towns Charrette. Both parties identified many locally agreed development opportunities and priorities. The Trust was formed to engage in activities that benefit and support the community of Ardrossan. It aims to increase opportunities, improve the environment of the town and revive a sense of pride in the town.
The funding given by Cunninghame Housing Association will assist ACDT in keeping good Governance. Governance is essential in the running of the Trust. The funding will make sure the right staff are in place to keep everything in order. It will help to deliver the planned major projects for the Community.
The funding for the ADCT came from the Associations “Making Our Communities a Better Place Fund”. The fund runs throughout the year (1st April 2021 to 31st March 2022) until the funding is exhausted.
The Association are delighted to support ACDT in helping them move forward and eventually deliver exciting projects which will benefit everyone of Ardrossan and beyond.JOHN KELLY, Chairperson, CHA
