Don’t Miss Out – We are still here to help during this difficult time.
If you have any health problems the Council can help you make a claim for any rights you may have. These include disability benefits such as Personal Independence Payments, or Attendance Allowance. This could give you money to spend to help with daily costs you have, such as cleaners, gardeners or taxis. Nobody needs to be caring for you to receive these health benefits.
We can also help make claims for pension credit, employment support allowance or carers allowance.
We have been looking at cases and identifying extra premiums that may have been missed by the Department of Work & Pensions and helping people put in a claim for this benefit. This has resulted in a number of great results for pensioners and an increase in their income.
Someone received an extra weekly amount of £66.95. This was backdated to 2010 which resulted in them receiving a backdated award of £31K. It will give them a huge boost to their income during this very difficult time.
Or if you’d like to apply by phone, you can call the Council’s call centre on 030 33 33 3008. They will take it over the phone for you.
