Lesley Keenan presented a cheque for £1,000 to Brooke Neely in her 3rd year of a 3-year sponsorship.
Brooke who boxes with Irvine Vineburgh Boxing Club, is also a member of the Scotland National Team. Brooke’s training is split between Irvine, 3 times a week and the Boxing Scotland High Performance Centre in Bridgeton, Glasgow. She is now boxing full time.
Brooke has several training camps abroad along with scheduled trips to Ireland with the Vineburgh Boxing Club for competitions. In January Brooke will advance to senior level. This means she can take part in more competitions as at this level she will qualify depending on weight. This is instead of weight and age at present.
Brooke will be taking part in the Scottish and Great Britain Championships. She will be travelling to Sheffield to try and gain a place in Team GB. (which has been her goal for many years). She recently travelled to Sheffield to take part in training with the feedback received being very positive.
We are delighted to be sponsoring Brooke for a 3rd year, giving her vital financial support to allow her to continue her career in her chosen sport.
