Important Information for Universal Credit Claimants

If you receive Universal Credit, it’s important to be aware of the upcoming rent increase taking effect from 1st April 2025. As part of this change, you will receive a prompt in your Universal Credit Journal asking you to confirm your new Housing Costs.

To ensure you continue receiving the correct Housing Costs entitlement, please complete this update using the new weekly rent amount stated in the letter you have received from us. Failure to do so could result in an underpayment or delay in your Housing Costs.
