The Association were delighted to welcome Jim to the Board as East Ayrshire Council’s representative in November 2020.
As a Councillor elected in May 2017, he is also Depute Leader of the Council and Cabinet member with the responsibility for Community Safety, Roads and Transport, Community Cohesion. Jim is also the Scottish Ambassador for White Ribbon Scotland.
He has spent 15 years as a miner and retired after 11 years as a publican and is also a trade union representative.
