On 22nd July, around 600 tenants and members of the local community attended the Whitlees Community Centre for our first ever Family Fun Day! The event was a huge success that brought the community and local business together to help celebrate our 40th Birthday Celebrations.
Whitlees Community Centre helped us to entertain the children by organising a bouncy castle, face painters, and a special visit from Paw Patrol.
North Ayrshire Connected Communities provided fun activities for the kids to enjoy, from badge making, glitter tattoos to giant garden games.
West Coats Castles supplied a surf simulator and soft play equipment for our under 5’s corner.
The children really enjoyed holding and feeding the various animals at the petting zoo – from rabbits, guinea pigs, tortoise, to chicks and ducks.
The children (and adults) enjoyed ‘Beat the Goalie’ against our Housing Officer, Derek.
In addition to all the activities, several partner organisations came along to promote their services. These included our in-house Financial Inclusion Officer, Cunninghame Furniture Recycling Company, Citrus Energy, Home Energy Scotland, and the Lennox Partnership.
