Nithsdale Pony Club is a voluntary equestrian club and registered charity based in Dumfries. The club runs a large range of activities for all members who are aged up to 25 years old. They are an inclusive, diverse club who give instruction in riding and horsemanship to educate members to the highest level. Support is available to all members providing them inclusive access to all training pathways which can lead to a professional qualification and secure a career path in equestrian fields.
Cunninghame Housing Association were delighted to assist the club by awarding funding from the Making Our Communities Better Places fund to support the costs involved in securing winter venues, to allow the club to continue to provide training facilities in the winter months.
The funding for Nithsdale Pony Club came from the Associations “Making Our Communities a Better Place Fund” which operates throughout the year (1st April to 31st March) until the allocated funding is exhausted.
We are pleased to support the Nithsdale Pony Club during the winter months as the club provides an invaluable opportunity for many young people allowing them to continue their learning journey whilst having a positive impact on their health and wellbeingJANET STRANG, Chairperson, CHA
