Universal Credit Run-On for Pension Age Claimants

The Department for Works & Pensions (DWP) announces Universal Credit run-on for claimants reaching pension age.

All those who reach pension age while claiming universal credit will receive a run-on. This means that they can receive a payment for the entire assessment period in which they reach pension age. Right to pensioner benefits and pension is unaffected and continues as usual. This make sure there is no gap in benefit terms as people approach pension age.
