Universal Credit Update

Nearly 1 million people have applied for Universal Credit in the past two weeks. With such a huge increase, there are pressures on DWP and other services. They are working flat out to get people the help they need.

If you have applied for Universal Credit, remember that DWP may need to contact you to explain or confirm information. They are having problems where people are not answering calls. Some of these calls may come through as a private number. If it is not DWP or someone else you need to speak to, then you can always hang up.

Please tell us about a change in your circumstances or speak to your work coach. The best way to do this is through your journal.

However, if you would like help or advice, please contact our Financial Inclusion Team. You can use the contact details listed below.
